Code of Conduct

Mali Biocarburant is a responsible company that conducts its business in an ethical manner. All employees or other representatives of the company and its subsidiaries are to ensure that Mali Biocarburant’s Code of Conduct is respected:

• We show respect for the individual – fellow employees, contractors, suppliers and customers
• We ensure that we operate in a safe environment
• We respect local law, customs and culture wherever we operate
• We show integrity, honesty and transparency
• We are fair in our business dealings
• We avoid conflict of interest between private and company business
• We do not offer, pay, solicit or accept bribes of any form*
• We ensure, as best we can, that when fees are paid for services that such fees are for bona fide services and are of a level that is reasonable for the services provided
• We do not discuss with competitors our customer base nor pricing and other conditions of supply to customers
• We respect the confidentiality of the company’s business**
• We disclose requested information when required to do so by regulatory authorities and auditors (internal and external). We are open and honest in our communication with these regulators and auditors
• We ensure, as best we can, that transactions and accounts are recorded truthfully and accurately
• We respect and promote land ownership for our collaborating farmers
• We promote food security for our collaborating farmers
• We strive for impact investment and also report on social and environmental performance

All Managers should ensure that Mali Biocarburant’s Code of Conduct is understood and practiced by those in their teams. If individuals feel there is a breach of the Code of Ethics or that one could arise then they should immediately raise the issue with Senior Management.
